In 2013 the Gol Iluminado Foundation “Indigenous Games” initiative won the prestigious “Sport Event Of The Year" Award from the world renowned Peace and Sport Organization, which works under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. As a result of our efforts, the Congress of Chile passed the "Elias Figueroa Sports Law", to recognize Indigenous Sport an Official Sport of the Interational Olymipc Comtitee.

The GOL ILUMINADO FOUNDATION are hosting a Sport For Hope Indigenous Football Tournament for the National Tribes of The Americas in association with and support of the Chilean Government. The inaugural Indigenous Copa Americana will take place prior to the Copa America 2015 CHILE, which will be held from June 11 – July 4, 2015. The Copa Americana is a LEGACY project resulting from the GOL ILUMINADO’s efforts to bring awareness and support to Indigenous history, culture and sport, the outcome of which was the "Elias Figueroa Sports Law", which recognizes Ancestral Sport as "Official Sport" of the IOC. This now provides Federal funding to Indigenous Tribes in order to perpetuate the history, culture and fabric of the Indigenous Peoples of Chile.

This year "Elias Figueroa", Chilean Player of The Century and 3 Times South American Player of The Year, invites you to “Be My Guest” at the Copa America 2015 in Chile. The Copa America comes to Chile where 12 teams will be competing for the title of Champion of South America.
In addition, the inaugural Copa Americana International Football Championships will be hosted in Chile as a Sport For Hope initiave for the Indiginous Tribes of The Americas. Each Indigenous National Team will be represented by an iconic football legend from their respective country. (ie: Cubillas_PERU, Valderrama_Colombia)
